Obama was in the legislative part of government and sees his role as bringing change through legislation. But he did not see his role as leadership in a crisis until others pointed it out to him with the gulf oil problem. His belief in rules and regulation kept him from over-riding some of these rules in a crisis.

I am not sure Sarah Palin is heading for the White House since she is taking the role of a cheerleader right now. To me, the greatest change that is taking place is the role of women in government. I hope that women in power will not see their role to be like men but to bring a different viewpoint to leading.

Did you actually read the article Paula? Or are you just hung up on the fake picture of Sarah Palin?

Markus: Thanks for your thoughtful response! I'll have to give a listen to your stuff!

With regards to my comment about Obama being the "best Washington has to offer"--you pretty much seem to get what I meant. He is just going to give us more of the same. I don't expect anything else from him or the next president, whoever he or she is. The problem is not who we elect, but the system itself.

I have had to submit my comments in short segments because this website screens out most uncomplimentary posts.

Wow, I totally agree with you on everything you said. My own dad (who sounds a lot like yours) bought her book, "Going Rogue" to find out more about her, and I had to explain to him that although she may have celebrity status she offers nothing other than Neo-Con Rhetoric.

I agree on everything except for what you said about Barrack Obama being the "best that Washington has to offer." Despite everything he promises about change, he offers more of the same - except much more severely worse. I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, so I'm just going to leave it at that.

Check out my band: myspace.com/busekrustheband and listen to the song "I will Not be Gone." It talks about how We The People will not just roll over and let the Federal Government and the Federal Reserve Bank Inc dictate our lives and take our freedoms.

Aloha,
