GLENN BECK OPEN INVITES RON PAUL TO ONE HOUR INTERVIEW

I hope ron paul takes GLENN BECK invite, he sounds sincere.. It will help people see and hear his issues, just like BECK said, you can’t explain complicated issues in 15 sec with people laughing at you. Paul does best in the sit down interviews when he has time to think and articulate his view.

Microsoft: Vista Worries Cause Businesses to Consider Macs and Linux

Eweek reports:

“A recent survey shows that 44 percent of businesses are considering Mac OS and Linux rather than switching to Vista.”

We are seeing the barbarians at the gate now, and the MS empire begins to show its first signs of crumbling. And it’s been a long time coming, I’m afraid. It goes to show you how ineffective the US anti-trust laws are, and how the free market is self-regulating.

It seems that Microsoft is very out of touch of what their customers really want, and is full steam ahead using its outdated business model of forced upgrading. Looks like business aren’t biting now, because there has to be a good business reason to upgrade. If MS were smart, they’d have dropped Vista and concentrated on just keeping their current customers happy. By forcing an “upgrade”, they are causing their customers to reassess the need for Microsoft in their business, or at least, on their employees’ desktops.

The Latest Ron Paul Fraud

Reprinted from the Liberator Online, Good News, Bad News and Unbelievable News, by James W. Harris, used with permission.

Newspapers and TV shows have been buzzing with reports that libertarian Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul raised over 4 million dollars in just 24 hours, on November 5.

If true, that would be the largest amount of money any Republican presidential candidate this year has raised in a single day. In fact, that’s remarkably close to the most successful presidential fundraising day ever in American history: John Kerry’s $5.7 million — and that happened only after Kerry accepted the Democratic presidential nomination, not in the days before the primaries.

But of course this cannot be true. It has to be some kind of trick.

Ron Paul: A seller of ideas

“They call him Dr. No — no big government, no big spending, no flouting the Constitution. And no interest in slick political image.”

This has got to be the best mainstream news write up I’ve seen. It does not attempt to undermine him at all.

Niagara Falls Reporter Archive>> Politics: Pelosi, Feinstein Betraying Democrats

Bill Gallagher writes:

Bush has finally unseated Richard Nixon as the most unpopular president in the history of the poll. Even though Bush’s crimes are far more serious and have done more harm than Nixon’s, Pelosi insists on sparing him from the constitutionally prescribed remedy.

Politics be damned! More importantly, it is a matter of justice and principle. Bush and Cheney deserve the stain of impeachment as a message to their successors that such egregious behavior and disregard for the Constitution, treaties and statutes will not be tolerated. To do otherwise — as Pelosi wants — sends the opposite message.

There is no excuse. We need impeachment now. Go here to sign the petition!

Economy: Ron Paul’s Prescience

From the a New York Sun Editorial:

Ron Paul’s Prescience

Our own view is that Mr. Paul’s prescience on the dollar is one of the reasons he’s showing what the pundits are calling surprising strength on the hustings. The New York Times attributes it to the way the Internet is impacting the campaign. But we’re of the view that it relates to the substance. We have a lot of differences with Mr. Paul, but on monetary matters, we’ve been covering him since his days, in the early 1980s, as a member of the United States Gold Commission, when he coauthored, with New York’s own Lewis Lehrman, a minority report favoring a return to a version of the gold standard. What can be said about Mr. Paul is that he’s not only ahead of Mr. Bernanke but also of his fellow Republicans, and he will eat into their standing until they address the question of the soundness of our currency.

What I think is so interesting about Dr. Paul is that you don’t have to agree 100% with his entire platform–all you have to do is find common ground. None of the other candidates want to even address the problems we are having in any place of our government, from foreign policy to drug policy to our nation’s currency problems. At the very least, the issue of our monetary problems needs to be injected into the debates. Of course, expect sound bites from the other candidates, but Ron Paul will pull no punches and tell it like it is!

Politics: New York Times Article about Ron Paul

From the New York Times:
The Web Takes Ron Paul for a Ride

From posting video on YouTube to enlisting friends through Facebook, all of the presidential candidates are looking for ways to harness the Internet. In the case of Ron Paul, the Internet has harnessed him.

This is a really nice write up–with one exception:

But because of the Internet’s low-cost ability to connect grass-roots supporters with one another — in this case, largely iconoclastic white men — Mr. Paul’s once-solo quest has taken on a life of its own.

The authors are two women who just had to get that sexist dig in about “iconoclastic white men.” Really, who cares who is behind it? It’s the idea that counts not what group is saying it. Lumping people into groups, as Dr. Paul says, is a practice that divides society. I believe the Ron Paul Revolution is doing the opposite–uniting us under a single cause, the cause of Liberty!

This is just too scary. I’d like to see one of these done for the Republican debates!

American Psychiatric Association Unanimously Backs Medical Marijuana!

This is BIG. A major move by one of the nation’s top medical groups, they are backing medical marijuana and they want the federal government to leave doctors alone. In a unanimous vote, the Assembly of the American Psychiatric Association has approved a strongly worded statement supporting legal protection for patients using medical marijuana…
